520			_a“Chor Chet Chea” is a story about a young boy who becomes a thief, constantly stealing other people's belongings despite his mother's persistent warnings, which he refuses to listen to. One day, he overhears a couple talking about needing 40 hap (a currency unit) in order for the husband to become the district chief. The thief then continues to steal until he gathers enough money to give to the couple. Unfortunately, he is caught and imprisoned under the house of that same district chief. Later, the truth is revealed, and he is released. Afterward, he helps the district chief so much that he is eventually appointed as a Yumreach (a high-ranking official or royal officer). In gratitude, the Yumreach promises to take care of Chor Chet Chea and his mother for the rest of their life.
