Heidi is an orphan girl who is five years old. Later, an old grandfather takes her in and raises her. One day, when she wakes up, she meets Pierre, a goat herder, and her grandfather lets her go herd the goats with him. One day, she moves to the city to become a companion to a disabled girl named Clara, and she also begins attending school. Because Heidi misses her grandfather very much, Clara’s father brings Heidi back to live with him again. A few months later, Clara becomes healthy and is able to walk, and she comes to live happily with Heidi and Pierre .
