សុទ្ធិ កើតក្នុងឆ្នាំមមែ ត្រូវនឹងឆ្នាំ១៩៦៧ នៅកន្នុងខេត្តកំពង់ចាម ចំពេលដែលកម្ពុជាចាប់ផ្ដើមលង់ខ្លួនចូលទៅក្នុងភ្លើងសង្គ្រាម និងការទម្លាក់គ្រប់បែកពីសំណាក់សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក។ សុទ្ធិមានអាយុ៣ឆ្នាំ នៅពេលដែលពួកខ្មែរក្រហមចូលមកកាន់កាប់ភូមិអន្ទង់ស។ ចាប់ពីពេលនោះមកអ្វីៗត្រូវក្រឡាប់ចាក់ ៖ អាក្រក់ទៅជាល្អ សទៅជាខ្មៅ ល្ងង់ខ្លៅទៅជាចេះ ហើយសូម្បីតែគោក៏ត្រូវបានគេហៅថាសមមិត្តគោដែរ។ កុមារភាពដ៏ចម្លែកមួយនៅក្រោមប្រវត្តសាស្រ្តនៃកម្ពុជា។

Sothi was born in the year 1967 in Kampong Cham province, at a time when Cambodia was beginning to sink into the flames of war and bombardment by the United States. Sothi was three years old when the Khmer Rouge took over the village of Antang Sar. From then on, things turned upside down: bad to good, white to black, ignorance to knowledge, and even cows were called cow comrades. A strange childhood under the history of Cambodia.
