As for the sacred ox and Preah Kaew, they continued fleeing from place to place until they were exhausted and lost their way. Eventually, they were captured by the Siamese soldiers and taken to Siam.
There, the sacred ox and Preah Kaew were worshipped and revered as sacred beings. This is why, even today, the Siamese people do not eat beef.8 a650
