This is a classic folk tale about a kind-hearted young man named Simpleton, who is often mocked by his older brothers and the people around him. One day, Simpleton shares his food with a hungry old man, who rewards him with a magical golden goose.
When people see the goose's golden feathers, they become greedy and try to steal it—only to find themselves magically stuck to the bird and to each other. As Simpleton walks through the village, he unknowingly collects a long line of people stuck together behind the goose.
Later, a princess who never smiles sees the ridiculous parade and bursts into laughter. This delights the king, and as a reward, Simpleton is allowed to marry the princess. His kindness and simplicity bring him good fortune and happiness in the end.
