ប្តីប្រពន្ធកសិករមួយគូរបានទៅផ្សារទិញជ្រូកមកចិញ្ចឹម​ ។ ប្តីជាមនុស្សខ្ជិលទោះប្រពន្ធអោយធ្វើអ្វីក៏មិនធ្វើដែរ ។ ថ្ងៃមួយគាត់ភ្ញាក់ពីដេកមិនឃើញជ្រូកគាត់ក៏ភ័យហើយអង្វរប្រពន្ធអោយជួយរកជ្រូកហើយសន្យាថានឹងជួយធ្វើកិច្ចការផ្សេងៗនៅក្នុងផ្ទះ ។ ប្រពន្ធក៏ទៅបើកទ្វារបន្ទប់ក្រោមដី ហើយជ្រូកទាំងអស់ក៏បានបោលមករកកសិករជាប្តីដោយក្តីត្រេកអរ ។​ នៅថ្ងៃនោះដែរបុរសជាប្តីក៏ធ្វើតាមសន្យា​ ហើយលែងខ្ជិលច្រអូសទៀត ៕​

A farmer’s wife once went to the market to buy some pigs to raise. Her husband was a very lazy man — no matter what she asked him to do, he never did anything.

One day, when he woke up from his nap, he couldn’t find the pigs anywhere. Frightened, he begged his wife to help him look for them and promised that he would help with all the housework from then on.

The wife then went to open the door to the basement, and all the pigs came rushing out toward the farmer, squealing happily.

From that day on, the husband kept his promise — he started helping with the chores and was no longer lazy.
