Their seventh child was seven years old but still very small, so the villagers called him “Thumb Boy.” Because of their poverty, the couple decided to abandon their children in the forest. Thumb Boy met a giant there. He cleverly tricked the giant, took a great deal of treasure, and happily returned to live with his parents.
