| Summary, etc. | "Libertad en el exilio" is the autobiography of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso. In the book, he tells the story of his life—from being chosen as the spiritual leader of Tibet as a child, to fleeing into exile in 1959 after the Chinese invasion. Living in India, he works to preserve Tibetan culture and fight for his people's rights through peace and nonviolence. He criticizes the Chinese government's actions in Tibet but promotes compassion and dialogue. In 1989, he receives the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts. The book highlights his values of peace, forgiveness, and the struggle for freedom. |
