ក្រោយមកផ្លំបានបាត់ខ្លួនអ្នកស្រុកមានជំនឿថាការបាត់ខ្លួនគឺដោយសារបារមីលោកយាយពីរនាក់ចង់អោយនាងមកថែរក្សាអ្នកស្រុកនៅម្តុំនេះ ។ ហើយនាងក៏សុំលោកយាយមកយកស្រុះមករស់នៅជាមួយនាង ។ ហើយលោកយាយក៏បានផ្តាំថាចាប់ពីថ្ងៃនេះតទៅសូមអោយអ្នកស្រុកហៅភ្នំនេះថា ភ្នំស្រុះផ្លំ វិញ ។ Phnom Dos Kramom is located in Mondulkiri Province. The mountain received its name because its shape resembles the breasts of a young virgin woman lying on her back. There was a man named Sroh and a woman named Phlom who fell in love with each other.
Later on, Phlom disappeared, and the villagers believed that her disappearance was due to the blessing of two ancestral spirits who wanted her to stay and take care of the people living in that area. Phlom then asked the ancestral spirits to bring Sroh to live with her. The spirits agreed and advised that from that day onward, the villagers should call the mountain “Phnom Sroh Phlom.
