Mary Surratt was put to death for her involvement in Abraham Lincoln's assassination. Johnson Chestnut Whittaker was expelled from West Point for a racist attack on himself. Each of these people was wrongly convicted of a serious crime. As a result they suffered...some even died. These historical cases sadly show that justice is not always served.
