Under the government of the Khmer Rouge, Kim’s family and Vityea have to learn how to live as the new population by the guiding of Angkar. Working in the field and dam are daily jobs for everyone. People have to work but they can have only pudding with a lot of water in it. The suspicion, the accusation, makes people distrust each other.
